Nic brings a warm, positive attitude and a strong background in customer service and organization to the Leading Note Studios front desk team. With experience in retail, management, and hospitality, she loves helping people and thrives in a busy, welcoming environment. Nicole is currently studying Psychology at Coastline College, with coursework in Child Development and Sociology. She is also passionate about music and is excited to help our students and families feel right at home at Leading Note Studios!

After singing in choir throughout high school, Courtney is excited to reconnect with her passion for music after spending more than a decade in the hockey community. Joining the team at Leading Note Studios gives her the opportunity to combine a lifelong love of music with meeting students and families who share that same enthusiasm. With seven years of administrative experience, Courtney brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude to the front desk, helping create a welcoming and positive experience for everyone who walks through the door.

Miranda joined Leading Note Studios in 2023 and has been a valued member of the team ever since. She brings creativity, warmth, and a passion for music to everything she does, helping create a welcoming experience for students and families alike.
Music has been a meaningful part of Miranda’s life since childhood. She participated in choir throughout her childhood and had the special opportunity to sing the National Anthem at a Padres game with her church. These experiences helped foster her lifelong love of music and continue to shape the joy and enthusiasm she brings to the Leading Note Studios community.
Outside the studio, Miranda loves spending time with her daughter and cherishes slow mornings together, whether they're exploring the community, visiting local parks, or simply enjoying quality time together. She also loves baking, cooking, drawing, and scrapbooking, always finding new ways to express her creativity both at home and at work.
Miranda holds three Associate of Arts degrees: an A.A. in Liberal Arts with an Emphasis in Social and Behavioral Sciences, an A.A. in Communications, and an A.A. in Business Administration. Her background in communication, business, and the social sciences, combined with her creativity, compassion, and organizational skills, allows her to support the Leading Note Studios community with enthusiasm and care. She is proud to be part of a team that inspires a lifelong love of music in students of all ages.
Our Fearless Leaders

Camille Hastings founded Leading Note Studios in Encinitas in 2009, starting with just five students. She expanded to San Marcos in 2020, and in 2021, the studio was named “National Music School of the Year.”A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Camille has performed with legends like Barry Manilow and Vince Gill. She is also the author of From Passion to Profit: The Part-Time Music Teacher's Guide to a Six-Figure Income, a practical guide for educators looking to build a thriving music career.
Outside of music, Camille enjoys gardening, baking, and riding her Indian Scout motorcycle. Married for 30 years and a mother of three, she continues to share her passion for music and community.

Marissa has been part of our team since October 2020. A graduate of USC with a degree in Music Business, she brings both passion and professionalism to everything she does. A talented musician, Marissa plays piano, guitar, and loves to sing.
Outside of teaching, she enjoys perfecting her sourdough recipe and savoring a great cup of coffee. She was recently married in July 2024—and somehow managed to attend 15 weddings in the same year!
With her vibrant energy, warm spirit, and musical talent, Marissa is a cherished member of our team. And the excitement continues—she and her husband are expecting their first child in October 2025!
